Livestock Heath Monitoring Feedlot Trials
Trial History & Updates
The QA / P4 trials in feedlots have been designed to monitor the health of livestock via the QA biometric Tag.
All data is stored in the cloud and the QA solution monitors the livestock temperature and movement (via an accelerometer).
The trial is to define the difference that the QA solution / tags can provide in identifying sick animals (primarily BRD) versus the physical observations of the Pen Riders.
On the 29th January 2018 the first cattle in Australia were tagged with the Quantified AG RFID Biometric Livestock QA Tags. This trial was based in South Australia with two hundred head of cattle.
'In March 2018, six hundred head of cattle have been tagged over three feedlot locations (200 each feedlot) in Northern Victoria, Southern NSW and South West QLD with the trials completed in mid-September.
In the coming weeks we will release some of the findings.
